Turn an RSS feed into a deliberate reading list
Keep discovery separate from commitment. Give saved items a clear role, and check what your feed reader actually retains.
Reader Lab / Category
Different reading formats need different markers. Connect ebook passages and feed discoveries with a clear reason to return.
An ebook reading position and an RSS saved item can both look like a bookmark, yet they belong to different kinds of collections. With books, your edition and chapter context matter. With feeds, you need to distinguish receiving an item from retaining the article behind it. These guides keep those differences visible.
Build a small test rather than assuming every reader handles saved information identically. For ebooks, create a bookmark, note, and highlight, then check them after reopening or transferring the file. For feeds, inspect an entry against the publisher’s article and test retention separately from subscription export. Keep the source identity beside your own notes so the reading remains useful outside one application.
